The RSSG-AUH has been active in Abu Dhabi for over 30 years, and each year contributes its income to charities, both here and at home.
During 2009-10, the society raised over 26,000 AED which was distributed between the Angel Appeal and the Future School in Abu Dhabi.
Last year (2010-11) was particularly successful, and our donation of
25,000 AED to Umoyo orphan project (a British run charity) enabled the commencement of building works on a long-awaited school house for children in Malawi.
Other charities which benefitted from our support in 2010-11 were Help for Heroes and Cancer Reseach UK.
Fundraising efforts continue, and you can help by taking membership and/or attending our events.

Becoming a member of the society is easy. Simply download and complete an application form; return (with small membership fee) to a committee member, and on acceptance, we'll issue your membership card.
All our members receive our regular newsletter, with details of forthcoming events and current sponsors, as well as having the opportunity to vote at the AGM each spring.

History of the Abu Dhabi branch
Royal Society St George is delighted to have been operating in Abu Dhabi since 1979, and the 2010-11 committee are fully committed to ensure the continuation of the society and its tradition for many years to come.
